And while there’s lots to love about your favourite baseball-game dog with sweet relish or getting a little fancy in your backyard with some gourmet ketchup and mustard, what’s really refreshing and tasty this summer is putting a restaurant-style spin on it. Dig into these inventive riffs by Little Northern Bakehouse on the summer staple.

The Bánh-Mì Dog
Consider this the East-meets-West dog. Fresh cucumber and pickled carrot line the sides of your scrumptious veggie dog and a drizzle of Sriracha mayo adds some heat. Serve on our fluffy and delicious gluten-free buns and sprinkle with mint leaves.
Bahn Mi Dog

Ingredients:
4 Millet & Chia Hot Dog buns
4 gluten-free, vegan hot dogs or sausages
1/2 cup quick pickled shredded carrot
1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
4 tbsp Sriracha mayo
handful fresh mint, thinly sliced

Instructions:
Warm the Millet & Chia hot dog buns and cook the hot dogs or sausages using your favourite method.
Top with cucumber and pickled carrots and drizzle with Sriracha mayo and mint.
