Healthy, Fun Pizza!

Healthy, Fun Pizza!

Step 1: Begin with a healthy crust: Purchase one of the following frozen gluten free pizza crusts from your health food store or search recipes to make your own.

  1. Cauliflower Crust: Cauliflower mixed with rice flour and eggs creates a low-carb, veggie-packed crust. It’s a great way to sneak in more vegetables and is often lower in calories.

  1. Almond Flour Crust: Almond flour is gluten-free and rich in healthy fats, making this crust a low-carb alternative. It provides a nutty flavor and a good amount of protein.

  1. Chickpea Flour Crust: This gluten-free option is high in protein and fiber. Chickpea flour can be mixed with water and spices to form a dough that's both nutritious and filling.

  1. Sweet Potato Crust: A nutritious and flavorful alternative to traditional pizza crusts. Made primarily from mashed or grated sweet potatoes, it typically includes a combination of gluten-free flour (like almond flour or coconut flour) and eggs to bind the ingredients together.

Step 2: Add your sauce:  First brush a thin coat of olive oil on your crust and add crushed or powdered garlicClassic tomato pizza sauce is certainly an optionOther fabulous alternatives are pesto or hummusThese work very well when omitting cheese as they provide a rich and creamy texture.
