Wednesday November 21 6-8pm
NFP Barrhaven Classroom
Join Chef and Holistic Nutritionist Tanya as she switches up the classic Christmas dinner into something a little more modern and healthy. In this 2-hour workshop Tanya will show you how to prepare a Holiday Feast that can be adapted to being vegetarian or Paleo. She will make and you will taste:
-Grain free stuffing
-Harvest squash casserole
-Mashed cauliflower ‘potatoes’
-Paleo Dark Chocolate brownies.
-Bonus! Tanya will bring in her no bake pumpkin tarts from her previous Thanksgiving class that had to be postponed. Be ready for a feast!
Throughout her years behind the stove, Tanya has dedicated much of her time to forming relationships with farmers and educating people on the importance of supporting our local food growers and makers. As an educator, Tanya has been teaching cooking classes for over 17 years at various locations including Soupçon, Algonquin College and the Urban Element and hopes to continue inspiring people to cook and eat healthy.
