Natural Food Pantry is a family run health and wellness store that has been locally owned and operated since 1981. With four locations in Ottawa, we offer a diverse array of products including gluten free, bulk, sport nutrition, supplements, organic products and meats, homeopathy, herbs, natural body care, home care products, eco-friendly products, specialty diet products and much more.

To provide consumers with the tools to live their best and healthiest life. We do this by offering a wide variety of products in store and nutrition experts to provide support with any questions our consumers may have. We want to help the world become a healthier place through educating anyone who decides to take their health into their own hands.
The Payant Family
Rick Payant has been with NFP since 1991 and took over the company in 2006. Natural Food Pantry was originally started by Rick's uncle, Roger Payant in 1981.
Our History
1981
Natural Food Pantry first opened up in the basement of Westgate mall in 1981. Started by Roger Payant, NFP started off selling mostly bulk items and supplements.
A few years later, a second location opened up at Billings Bridge mall.
1991
Rick Payant, our current owner started off as a store franchisee at the Billings Bridge location. He then bought the Westgate location as a franchise in 1996.
2002
Our third location opened up in Kanata!
2006
The year that Rick Payant took over as owner of Natural Food Pantry!
2010
We moved from our location at the Westgate mall to our current location in Westboro beside Bushtaka on Richmond Road.
2018
Our newest location opened up in Barrhaven. We expanded, opening our largest location to date as well as a cafe in our store!
2020
Our online shopping options have expanded to accommodate social distancing and isolation options in response to the global pandemic. Customers living in Ottawa now have the option to order their groceries online and have them delivered to their homes or pick up their prepacked groceries at any of our 4 Ottawa locations.
Our Billings Bridge location makes a move from upstairs in the mall to the main floor!
2021
In the fall of 2021 we moved our Wesboro location down the street to a bigger and brighter location at the corner of Scott & McRae!
2022
In the spring of 2022 we finally made it to the east end of Ottawa and opened our 6th location in Orléans at 1777 Tenth Line Road!
Our goal is to provide customers a unique experience by delivering current, dynamic and accurate nutrition and wellness information through webinars, in-store workshops, food demonstrations, store tours, events as well as online resources such as webinars, videos and blogs.
