Smile 5HTP enhances serotonin, our happy hormone, to help promote a healthy mood balance. Serotonin is a neurotransmitter that is also responsible for creating feelings of satiety.
Smile 5-HTP is enteric-coated, which allows 5-HTP to be absorbed in the small intestine. Other 5-HTP products that are not enteric-coated can cause nausea when optimal doses are taken.

CAUTIONS
Do not use if you have scleroderma. Consult a health care practitioner prior to use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking carbidopa or drugs/supplements with serotonergic activity. These may include, but are not limited to, L-tryptophan, S adenosylme-thionine (SAMe), St. John's wort, antidepressants, pain killers, over the counter cough and cold medication containing dextromethorphan, anti-nausea medication and anti-migraine medication. Consult a health care practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen including sleeplessness for more than 3 weeks. Exercise caution if operating heavy machinery, driving a motor vehicle or involved in activities requiring mental alertness. Some people may experience drowsiness, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain. Discontinue use and consult a health care practitioner if you show signs of weakness, oral ulcers, abdominal pain or if you experience skin changes.
