Join Chef Tanya in a 2-hour workshop where you will walk away with basic knowledge of how to choose a knife, care for your knife and the basic vegetable cuts that will help speed up your prep time in the kitchen.
On the menu: Updated Seeded Slaw; Celery Apple and Walnut Salad.
We prepare the salads and you take them home with you!
You will need to bring the following to class; a cutting board, the knives you normally use in your kitchen, and 2 small (250ml) jars or containers with tight fitting lids. Chef Tanya will bring her own bag of knives and help you find the right "fit".
Throughout her years behind the stove, Tanya has dedicated much of her time to forming relationships with farmers and educating people on the importance of supporting our local food growers and makers. As an educator, Tanya has been teaching cooking classes for over 17 years at various locations including Soupçon, Algonquin College and the Urban Element and hopes to continue inspiring people to cook and eat healthy.
