A perfect appetizer to make when having guests over - especially great as finger foods when gathering friends for a sporting event!
• 1 package of bacon (cut strips into thirds)
• 3 cans whole water chestnuts
• ¾ cup cane sugar
• 1 cup VitaBio or Utopia organic ketchup
• 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
• 1 Tbsp lemon juice
Preheat oven to 350° F. Cut bacon strips into thirds. Roll one whole water chestnut into each 1/3 strip of bacon, inserting a toothpick to hold it together, and place on a cookie sheet (use non-stick foil on cookie sheet to make clean up easier!). Continue this until all water chestnuts are rolled. Once oven is pre-heated, bake for 30 minutes. While those are baking, in a small mixing bowl combine all sauce ingredients. Once the bacon and water chestnuts have been baking for 30 minutes, remove from oven and spoon sauce over each one. Continue baking for another 25 minutes or until bacon crispy.
